Young Toddlers
The young toddler room is set up to accomadate ages 14 months to 24 months. In this room play is very much independent. The group does alot of singing,crafts, and listening to stories.
The children are in a classroom setting and begin sleeping on mats. Sippy cups are primarily used and bottles are (hoped to be) eliminated. As the children get older, they begin to use cups. The children also start to go outside more to explore. Daily routines and schedules begin to follow a classroom schedule.
