Infant Room
The Basics:
The infant room is set up to accommodate infants age 6 weeks to 14 months. After 14months transition will begin into the toddler group.
Our infant room is designed to allow for a great deal of independence. The floors are made of a soft material to maximize safety. The room also allows for a range of babies with different ages. As teh babies abilities and age change, so does the room set up and toys. This is done in order to accomadate all.
Daily Journals:
Each infant is given a journal to be kept by their caretaker. These journals are sent home every night to allow parents to review it and also to write in it. This opens communication between parents and caretakers as well as keeps the baby's schedule in order.
Caretakers:
There is a minimum of one staff member per four infants at all times. This is the state regulation. However, in our center, there is always an extra person at hand. This is a unique quality for our center. All of our staff are qualified, have experience, and well trained.
Individuality:
The infants are cared for individually and allowed to have their own schedule. Our staff does not enforce a schedule for all in the room. In other words, each infant's schedule is known and kept to the best of our ability. We also encourage each baby's development based on their own abilities and growth.
